Does the RFR-24DK come with a tap or tower?
No. This is the no-tap configuration, so it ships without a draft tower, faucet, keg coupler, or CO2 kit. That lets you choose and add your own dispense setup — single or dual tap — to suit your bar.
What keg sizes will it hold?
The 6.6 cu. ft. interior fits one half barrel, one quarter barrel, or one slim quarter barrel — or two sixth barrels if you want to pour two different beers.
Can it be built into an outdoor kitchen island?
Yes. Front venting means it can be installed built-in or freestanding. Plan your island opening to the cutout dimensions of 24 5/8" W × 34 5/8" H × 24" D and keep the front vent unobstructed.
Is it really rated for outdoor use?

What temperature can it reach?

What outlet and power does it need?
It runs on a standard 110–115V AC, 60 Hz household supply and should be plugged into a dedicated, properly grounded 3-prong outlet. The manufacturer recommends a GFI and advises against using an extension cord.
Does it need a drain or plumbing connection?
No. It defrosts automatically — condensation collects in a drainage channel and evaporates in the drip tray by the compressor — so no dedicated drain line is required.
Which way does the door open, and does it lock?
The RFR-24DK has a right-hinge door with a keyed lock and included keys, so you can secure your draft when it's not in use.
What's the ambient temperature range for proper operation?
For best performance, install it where the surrounding ambient temperature stays between 50°F and 109.4°F (10–43°C), away from direct sunlight and high-heat sources.
Does it include a CO2 tank or a keg?
No. The CO2 tank, regulator, keg coupler, draft tower, and the keg itself are all sold separately. We recommend ordering your dispense components together so you're ready to pour right away.
Can I add a single or dual tap later?
Yes. Since it's the no-tap model, you can outfit it with a single- or dual-tap tower and faucet kit whenever you're ready. Summerset also offers factory single-tap and dual-tap versions of this kegerator as separate models if you'd prefer a complete setup.
How heavy is it, and how should it be installed?
It weighs 108 lbs, so the manufacturer recommends using two or more people to move and install it. Let it stand upright for about 24 hours after delivery before powering it on, and use the adjustable legs to level it.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wash the interior with a warm water and baking-soda solution and the stainless exterior with warm water and mild detergent. Avoid chlorides, steel wool, and abrasives on the stainless. The manufacturer recommends a full interior and exterior cleaning once a year.
What warranty and store protections come with it?
